Field Training Center at Kuwait University Concludes Preparatory Program for Student Teachers

Under the theme “Towards the Field,” the Field Training Center at the College of Education, Kuwait University, concluded its preparatory program for student teachers. The program included a series of orientation sessions. It was held from September 27 to 29, 2026, at the College Theater in the South Building. The program was sponsored by Acting Dean Prof. Souad Abdulaziz Al-Furaih and supervised by Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al-Sahli, Director of the Center.

The program aimed to prepare student teachers for their field training experience. It also sought to strengthen their professional skills and help them make a smooth transition from university study to classroom practice.

During the sessions, Dr. Al-Sahli emphasized the importance of orientation meetings at the start of each semester. He reviewed the field training schedule and the main regulations. He also explained the process of assigning students to schools, their responsibilities during training, and the assessment methods used by the Center.

Dr. Al-Sahli noted that the Center organized the sessions according to academic and geographical groups. This approach helped ensure that information was delivered clearly. It also provided students with an opportunity to ask questions and receive direct answers.

As part of the program, Dr. Maali Al-Abdulhadi, Director of the Master’s Program in Curriculum and Instruction, delivered a motivational presentation. She encouraged student teachers to view field training as an important step in their professional development and future careers.

Dr. Al-Abdulhadi also introduced the Master’s Program in Curriculum and Instruction. She explained its specializations, admission requirements, and academic opportunities. In addition, she encouraged students to consider postgraduate studies as part of their long-term educational and career goals.

The program reflected the College of Education’s commitment to supporting student teachers and preparing them for success in the field. It also highlighted the College’s efforts to equip future educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for professional practice in schools.
