As part of the College of Education’s commitment to academic and research development at Kuwait University, the Department of Educational Technology, in collaboration with the Educational Development Center, organized a training course titled "Using Artificial Intelligence in Research." The course was designed for faculty members and focused on the effective use of AI tools in research.

The course was presented by Dr. Ahmad Rashid Al-Sabr, General Manager of Asia Management Consulting Company and Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science at the American University of Kuwait. Participants learned about recent AI applications in scientific research and explored ways to improve research quality and data analysis.

Improving Research Skills

Participants were introduced to several AI tools used in different stages of the research process. The sessions covered literature reviews, data organization, statistical analysis, and research reporting.

The course also discussed the ethical use of artificial intelligence in academic research. Special attention was given to research integrity and responsible use of technology.

Hands-On Data Analysis

The program included practical workshops on research data and survey analysis. Faculty members learned how to select statistical tests, interpret results, and prepare research outputs for academic publication.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises. These activities encouraged knowledge sharing and helped faculty members exchange ideas and experiences.

The training also highlighted current trends in artificial intelligence and their impact on academic research. Participants explored tools for data management, literature review, research planning, and content organization.

Several real-life examples and case studies were presented during the course. These examples demonstrated how AI can support decision-making and improve research outcomes. Participants also learned how AI can increase efficiency and reduce routine tasks.

At the end of the course, the Department of Educational Technology and the Educational Development Center expressed their appreciation to Dr. Ahmad Rashid Al-Sabr for his valuable contribution and professional expertise.
