Mission The mission of the department is to prepare a generation of students who are capable of responsibly and effectively contributing to community development. It aims to produce students who value knowledge and work towards the betterment of society and the realization of their inherent purpose. To this end, the department provides an educational environment that encourages diligence and enhances students' abilities to excel in their areas of specialization. Additionally, the department emphasizes instilling a spirit of research and inquiry, guided by Islamic values, to achieve personal growth in a world filled with distractions and identity erosion.

The faculty plays a crucial role in ensuring that students acquire a critical educational perspective. To achieve this, the department offers courses designed to assist students in developing professional competence and maturity. These courses emphasize:
1. Awareness of educational foundations across various life domains.
2. The social interpretation of education.
3. Understanding the relationship between education and social mobility.
4. Historical awareness of the teaching profession and its philosophical implications.
5. Awareness of the relationship between education and economic and social development.
6. Fostering innovative abilities in teachers by providing them with the latest developments in educational theories, facilitating a shift from traditional to innovative teaching methods.
7. Familiarizing students with the components of the educational system in Kuwait, including its strengths and weaknesses.

1. Offering specialized undergraduate and graduate courses related to the Department of Educational Foundations.
2. Supervising graduate students within the academic department.
3. Organizing scientific, cultural seminars, and educational workshops both within and outside the department. 4. Hosting educational conferences within and outside the College of Education through collaboration with the college administration and official entities.
5. Organizing educational exhibitions related to the department's courses and activities, reflecting its role in serving the academic community and Kuwaiti society.
6. Providing specialized training courses in coordination with the college administration and official entities.
7. Collaborating with the college and official bodies to offer necessary consultations in the department’s educational field.
8. Continuously developing the department academically in terms of scientific research and professionally in teaching and administrative work for faculty and staff.
9. Proposing specialized academic units in line with educational developments.
