The English Language Unit at the College of Engineering and Petroleum is responsible for equipping our students with the English skills required for our programs.
The Master of Science in Civil Engineering program provides rigorous preparation for advanced responsibilities and leadership in the civil engineering field, including:
- Structural Analysis

The unit teaches the following compulsory courses for students. Students and graduates of the Faculty of Education:
090 Preliminary English Language
141 English Language
142 English Language

This course is mandatory for students who have not passed the academic placement test, knowing that students who have passed the aptitude test are not required to take the course.
* Grading system: Pass (P) equivalent to 60% or Not Pass (NP) for failure (less than 60%)
* Number of Credits: 0
* The lecture duration: Two hours daily
* The preliminary course is a prerequisite for the (141 Course)
* 090 Course is designed for students at the intermediate level
* Grading system: by grading system: A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, F for failure (less than 60%)

* The lecture duration: One hour daily
* 142 Couse is for students at the advanced level

The English language unit follows the university regulations regarding absences and discipline regulations.
